Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Procurement Manager to
join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials
required at job sites and negotiating favorable pricing with vendors. The Procurement
Manager will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of
materials while adhering to project budgets.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure
timely delivery of materials.
• Identify and source reliable vendors and suppliers, ensuring high-quality
materials and competitive pricing.
• Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor
relationships to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Analyze market trends, monitor pricing fluctuations, and identify potential risks or
opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to determine
material requirements for each job site.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with
company policies and project specifications.
• Track and document all procurement activities, including vendor
communications, order status, and delivery schedules.
• Conduct regular vendor audits and performance evaluations to optimize supplier
relationships and improve processes.
• Proactively identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and
supply chain optimization.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (or
equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role within the real
estate or construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies, supplier management, and cost
optimization.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to secure
advantageous terms and conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate
effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using procurement tools and systems, as well as standard office
software.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet established deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with local vendors and suppliers in Palm Beach and/or Bridgehampton.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM).
